Our client is "the" leader in their industry. Huge ($1B) company with massive databases. They have many databases but they need a (senior) Oracle, core, DBA added to their team.
Duties:
The principal purpose of this position is to administer and control the company's commercial databases as well as other commercial infrastructure software components such as an Application Server.
This includes both internal applications as well as those which are external customer facing.
This position may also have responsibility to support Oracle E-business Suite as an Applications DBA (however, this is, primarily, a "core" Oracle DBA job...it is NOT an Oracle EBS DBA job and you do NOT need Oracle EBS to qualify).
Administers, maintains, and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database.
Help with implementing data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes
Helps to resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.
Expertise with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within this field
This role is responsible for hands-on implementation and support of relational database systems and/or applications DBA responsibilities supporting Oracle's E-business Suite.
Some understanding of Data Management and Data Access so that associate can design metadata with assistance and appropriate search strategies.
Understand and follow Enterprise Data Management policies.
Implement and maintain physical databases
Perform tuning of databases with assistance and related application software to improve database performance.
Project and estimate database growth with assistance
Assist development staff with application design and efficient use of database technology
Monitor project plans and schedules for significant database related implementation and support efforts.
Use appropriate control mechanisms as used by the database team to maintain changes or documentation to insure understanding and access for future development within the application
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in technical or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of (Core) Oracle database administration for a Real Time system (preferably web based).
Ability to perform logical and physical Datamodelling, design relational database models and create physical data models from logical data models.
Hands on experience with multiple versions of appropriate commercial database platform
Knowledge of ER modelling tools and techniques
Knowledge of programming and performance tuning using SQL, triggers, stored procedures and JDBC
Knowledge of Service Oriented Architectures and technologies like SOAP as well as other web standards
