Data Governance Business Analyst Job - (columbus, ohio) in Columbus, Ohio For Sale
This position will lead the implementation of governed data marts that enable the organization to agree on consistent data metrics by doing the following:
:Working with various business leaders to develop business requirements pertaining to governed data marts
:Incorporating data sources across the organization into validated and approved data marts
:Serving as a liaison between technology groups and business users
:Working with end users and technology groups to establish and maintain project timelines
Responsibilities:
:Lead complex business investigations to create technical development requirements for new projects and governed information sources in order to meet evolving business information needs
:Perform analysis to define, create and validate solutions that meet governance business needs, goals or objectives
:Manage and direct small to large scale data governance projects including the creation of scope, requirements, inputs to build consensus, creation of detailed project plans, and the management of resources and related risks
:Provide guidance during the analysis for user requirements, procedures and problems to improve existing systems
:Ensure governance policies are maintained, advising management of conditions of non:compliance
:Operate across organizational and computing silos to drive common approaches and expose governance needs
:Utilize current applications and systems to research and monitor current activities and participate in audit and testing
:Report on project deliverables and SLAs; tracking and reporting on defects to ensure compliance with corporate and line of business governance policies and procedures
:Build consensus date governance artifacts for line of business toll:gate reviews and approvals
:Provide factual information to support Information Management Design and Delivery related audit activities; develop and maintain internal web sites critical to team and document retention for audit purposes
Qualifications
:Bachelors Degree in Business, Technology or related field or equivalent experience
:3:5 years experience working as a Business Systems Analyst
:2+ years leading small scale projects
:3+ years working in a mainframe environment; working in an IT environment with an understanding of development lifecycles
:Ability to create accurate, informative documentation from which designs can be created and execute projects based on project and business analysis methods
:Application, infrastructure, software and hardware knowledge and in:depth knowledge of credit card industry and data warehousing methods and practices
:Understanding of the relevant regulatory, compliance and governance frameworks
:High level of detail orientation, organization, flexibility, teamwork, and relationship building skills
:Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non:technical groups both internally and externally
:Ability to routinely demonstrate complex problem solving skills without supervision
:Experience with technical problem resolution/change management systems such as Trioli
:Proficiency with research methods, tools and software; (such as QMF, WINSQL, analytical and research skills in an IT environment )
:Proficiency in MS Office tools to include: Microsoft Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint Administration
