Qualifications and Responsibilities
General Statement of Duties:
Position will be responsible for:
Performing month:end accounting procedures
Analyzing, documenting and reconciling balance sheet accounts
Maintaining relationships with business partners to ensure proper accounting for facility leases, real estate taxes, utilities, network services, division inter:companies and other assigned areas
Continually looking for ways to improve processes and make recommendations based on analysis
Applying GAAP and other accounting guidance to Alliance Data financial activities
Examples of Duties:
Prepare timely, accurate and efficient monthly journal entries related to rent, real estate taxes, utilities, network services, FAS91, agency commissions, allocations and other assigned journal entries.
Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations utilizing Blackline.
Provide complete documentation, identify any discrepancies and propose adjustments if necessary.
Analyze monthly financial results through P and L variance analysis.
Write thoughtful commentary and propose recommendations based on findings to Accounting Leadership team.
Work closely with Financial Planning and Analysis to maintain relevant understanding of the current forecast associated with assigned P and L lines.
Build relationships and work cross:functionally with department heads on financial:related activities, act as accounting liaison and "go:to individual" on accounting matters.
Prepare financial schedules and support for internal audits, SOX, regulatory examinations and other management requirements.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, MBA or CPA preferred :a name_GoBack:
5:7 years of Accounting experience, Public Accounting preferred
Desirable:
Experience with PeopleSoft Financials, Blackline, Essbase, Queries
Experience with MS Access, or similar database application
