This role will ensure that proper analytical and financial rigor is applied in making business decisions, to manage budget, track and monitor sales and serve as the overall financial advisor for the Sales organization. The role will drive the reporting and streamlining of sales reporting systems and procedure and, more crucially, utilize this information to provide analysis and decision making to support to the organization and drive sales. * Provide financial guidance to Sales management related to establishing and tracking annual sales goals, sales forecasting and analysis * Contributes sophisticated insights based on grounded analytics to assess current business challenges and anticipate reporting needs * Partners with Finance and Marketing to monitor and track effectiveness of sales performance * Manage team of sales analysts and sales systems specialists who will provide monthly /quarterly/annual reporting and trend analysis * Monitor costs related to Free-With-Order, Product Samples, and other costs associated with Sales expense * Provide analytics for staff allocation which includes full-time and per diem staffing * Manage and provide coaching and development to associate business/system analysts * Utilizes Salesforce.com reporting capabilities to provide analysis and actionable metrics for sales leadership through the use of Salesforce.com dashboards and reportsRequired Experience * Four year college degree, MBA or equivalent education preferred * Five years financial experience * Highly proficient in budgeting, forecasting, modeling and analysis * Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills and negotiation skills * Self-starter with significant personal initiative who can operate independently * Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills * Strong interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively across multiple functions and with varied levels of management * Excellent Microsoft Office skills – Advanced skill set in Excel and Access * Past experience with problem solving and communicating with sales channels, customers, and internal management preferred About McGraw-Hill Education McGraw-Hill Education is a digital learning company that draws on its more than 100 years of educational expertise to offer solutions which improve learning outcomes around the world.
