Property & Casualty Actuarial Consultant - Oliver Wyman - Columbus, OH - Marsh & McLennan Companies, in Columbus, Ohio For Sale

Primary responsibilities of the position include:
o Assist in actuarial projects including pricing segmentation and predictive modeling for insurance coverages, ratemaking, and loss reserving studies
o Assist with the development of capital models
o Compile and verify data
o Setup spreadsheet analysis, templates, and exhibits
o Apply complex mathematical theories and principals to create statistical models
o Prepare production exhibits and text to present findings in formal written reports
o Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations
o As required, attend marketing/sales presentations
Requirements/Qualifications:
o BA/BS degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, business or related field
o At least 2 years experience in the property & casualty industry
o A range of 4 to 6 CAS exams
o Commitment to achieving FCAS designation
o Ratemaking and pricing segmentation experience
o Predictive modeling skills and insurance knowledge; SAS experience desired
o Loss reserving experience
o Organized with an ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment
o Excellent interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communications skills
o Ability to develop client oriented solutions
o Capacity to work in an entrepreneurial manner within a team environment
o Strong command of Microsoft Excel (@Risk add-in is a plus), Word and PowerPoint
