This position is a member of the top leadership team, reports to the Mill Manager, and has overall responsibility for mill critical equipment reliability. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient coordination and supervision of maintenance employees engaged in the mechanical, electrical and instrument trades throughout the mill. This role is responsible for controlling costs and labor hours as well as leading process improvement initiatives and teams. The position also coordinates all maintenance with production in order to minimize downtime and continually carries on preventive maintenance to ensure the operation of all equipment in an economical and safe manner.Tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:* Supervising and developing maintenance team members * Leading safety meetings * Be a role model and champion for an injury-free work place * Work closely with operations leadership to understand their needs and to maintain a one team, positive relationship, between operations and maintenance * Lead and develop approximately 15 multi-craft technicians engaged in day-to-day maintenance activities * Assure all contractor work in the area is done in accordance with established mill guidelines * Provide leadership in proactive maintenance practices and process reliability improvements by directing the weekly planning process, outage planning process and failure analysis process * Develop and manage an annual and 5-yr area maintenance budgets. * Manage the equipment reliability programs * Scheduling employees * Verifying time sheets * Administering Company policies in a fair and equitable mannerThe successful candidate will promote safety and performance excellence in all areas of influence and will have a desire and ability to work as a team player in a continuous process industry in a high-performance work environment.Required Qualifications* BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering * 3-5 years supervisory/leadership experience in a continuous process manufacturing environment * Minimum 5 years of project/reliability/maintenance engineering experience in continuous process industry * Working knowledge of regulatory and code requirements applicable to maintenance (NFPA 70E, pressure vessels, natural gas regulations, etc.) * Basic knowledge of industrial safety procedures and regulations * Able to lead safety improvements through personal commitment and Weyerhaeuser procedures * Knowledge and experience in Maintenance Best Practices and Reliability Improvement programs * Demonstrated leadership skills and experience leading a team to achieve excellent results * Able to generate commitment and motivate employees toward a common goal * Excellent communication skills: written, oral and listening, organizational and planning skills, facilitation skills, problem-solving skills, computer skills and the ability to achieve results through others * Able to track/measure performance utilizing standard methods/tools * Able to engage and motivate employees in a team environment * Basic understanding of business and financial concepts * Basic understanding of employee relations * Solid computer skills, including use of SAP and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Project) * Able to work in a high-performance team environment * Preferred Qualifications* 5 Years Supervisory/Leadership experience in a pulp or paper manufacturing facility * Demonstrated leadership skills in a High Performance Work SystemWeyerhaeuser is an Equal Opportunity Employer, building a capable, committed, and diverse workforce.
