Legal Manager - (Westerville) in Columbus, Ohio For Sale

This Legal Manager will be responsible for providing legal support for real estate and procurement matters and for general corporate legal matters. Detailed Description: Coordinating due diligence for a variety of commercial real estate transactions, including leases, acquisitions and dispositions; Conducting title and survey review; drafting title and survey objection letters; working closely with title companies to clear title and obtain title policies; preparing and managing execution of various closing documents Reviewing, negotiating and approving estoppel certificates and SNDAs Preparing and managing execution of various closing documents; preparing and distributing closing binders; Preparing initial drafts of purchase and sale agreements; Reviewing, drafting and negotiating lease amendments; Negotiating and drafting leases with oversight of senior counsel Reviewing, revising and negotiating vendor contracts Working with asset management and real estate teams on landlord dispute issues (CAM reconciliations; maintenance issues; etc.). Managing corporate response to third-party subpoenas, including gather documents, reviewing for responsiveness and making appropriate redactions Providing support to other Legal Manager(s) as needed or as time allows Legal research using legal team’s current service provider, such as Lexis, and other online legal resources Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree Paralegal Certificate (desired) Skills (including languages): Knowledge of title industry and standards Experience with commercial leasing (industrial; office; retail) Knowledge of commercial real estate practice Ability to communicate concisely and clearly in emails Word, Excel, Acrobat Experience: 3 to 7 years’ experience as a real estate paralegal
