Intellectual Property Specialist Job Description
Skreened is seeking a temporary, part:time (16 hours/week) intellectual property (IP) specialist. Skreened is a leading online custom apparel marketplace with over 200 designs submitted daily from around the world. The IP specialist is responsible for screening submitted artwork for IP infringement to cultivate and maintain a positive reputation and legal status for Skreened. The IP Specialist reports to the Director of Marketing and Technology. The duration of this temporary position is from the end of May through July xxxx. Major and minor role functions and requirements:
Reviewing submitted Auto:Holds art daily for infringement
Reviewing submitted Live art daily for infringement
Flagging and removing artwork that violates federal laws or internal policy
Policing of repeat TOS and IP violators including, but not limited to, removing and/or
blocking account holders
Maintaining communication with the Marketing Department regarding
changes in copyright policy
Physical requirements: remaining in a seated position, fingering (typing, pinching, picking or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than whole hand or arm), and ability to lift 5:25 pounds.
Position goals and standards:
Maintains that Auto:Holds and Live art submission sites are screened and up to date daily
Displays clear understanding of copyright policies and implementation procedures
Responds to IP complaints in a prompt and concise manner
Adheres to all safety rules and regulations as specified by Skreened
Understands the position is temporary; from end of May through July
Candidate qualifications:
Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of law school
Some experience as a law clerk a plus
Experience and interest in intellectual property a BIG plus
