We are taking deposits on our upcoming litter of GSPs. This is the last litter for our female, due May 22, xxxx. Pictures of the first 2 litters are shown. We expect just as many solid liver pups in this litter as in the past. Pedigree of both parents will come with each pup, along with some food the puppies will be getting so you can transition them to your puppy food of choice, full AKC registration application, dewclaws removed and tails docks, shots and worming. Both parents are solid liver (father has a small amount of roan white on his chest)and live with us and are AKC registered, as the pups will be. Parents are both medium build and natural retrievers. We use our GSPs to track wounded / dead deer during our archery season and take them shed hunting. German Shorthairs are very trainable and ideal for anyone looking for a family pet, hunting partner or ability competitor. Before we bought our GSP, we had a list of the qualities we wanted in our dog. They had to have a short tail (long tails on happy dogs clean off coffee tables quickly!); great nose for tracking; medium build; and shorthair for less shedding. The GSP has all of these qualities and more. We both have had Golden Retrievers and Labs in the past, but they both tended to overeat and have several health issues. We have not had either of these in our GSPs. Our GSPs do not overeat, only eating what they want and stopping. The solid liver color that we have been promoting tends to make people think they are another breed (I.E. Chocolate Lab, Weimer, Visla, etc.).
